Platform
A platform is the raised floor
of a structure to improve drainage. It is usually made of bricks and part
of it is buried
in the land.
In Qing Dynasty, the height
of the platform is strictly restricted. Officials having higher grades
could build a platform
up to 2 feet while the others
may have them built up to 1 feet.
