Comments: A long time ago, there was a poor man who was seriously ill. His wife
decided to be a prostitute in order to collect money to cure him. Then the man
missed his wife and put his effort to making cakes and earn money from selling
them. People later called the cakes as wife cakes. The crust is crunchy while
the inside is soft and slightly sweet. It was usually packed in gift boxes and
eaten during wedding celebrations. But now you can buy it in a cake shop and
have it as an afternoon tea snack.
