Q:What were the services provided in the past?

Ms Lok:In the past, relatives of the deceased would buy coffins. We would also help them co-ordinate funerals. For example, we would teach them some funeral rites and made funeral clothes for them. We basically directed the funerals.

The relatives of the deceased may not have enough time or maybe too sad to organize the funerals. We would than arrange everything for them. I remember that a family told me that their mother who passed away liked potato chips, we would then cater for their needs.

    Some would like to share photos during the funerals. We would recommend them to bring photo booklets or create a powerpoint. We would provide the equipment needed for the slideshow.

    A customer wanted to display the drawings done by his father before he passed away, we produced and distributed the CDs.

We once organized a fashion show during a funeral. The clothes the deceased liked were shown.

    Some customers don’t like the smelling in the funeral homes, we would use aroma oil in the funeral halls.
